Loco Roco demo!

I love Katamari and I love Super Monkey Ball. I enjoy quirky things, because I can relate to it. lol I cannot believe how great Loco Roco is on the PSP! (You can download the JP demo here.)
Runs right off the Memory Card!
The level design with tilt integeration is amazing. It's almost like playing those tilt maze games but with a liquid ball. The object of the game is to build up the largest roco possible and guide him to the end of the level. But roco can't move on his own. To make him go, you tilt the background left or right, which causes roco to roll and build up speed. Pressing L tilts the playing field to the left. Pressing R tilts it to the right. You can also make your roco jump by pressing L+R. Besides hopping over things, sometimes you'll encounter a tunnel or a tight rope that you need to guide your roco across. Just rolling right into these things isn't a good idea, because the roco is normally to big and will get stuck or fall right off. In these situations, you can push the O button to break the roco into smaller roco's, which you can then roll to the other side... and re-form later. The little guys are so cute. At one point they roll down, go through a "Sonic the Hedgehog" loop got caught in the wind, and flew away. I was instantly in love. There are a alot of "easter eggs" within the game. I almost felt nostalgic, exploring through "fake" walls in 2D. I really wish I can have more moments like that in gaming.
I am addicted to the music already. The little blob sings along with the music as well. Quirky detail, but it made the blob appear more human. Loco Roco is now my PC wallpaper. It's painfully cute and bright but I don't care. (Yes, I love orange.) I cannot wait to get the final. I'm going to buy it for myself on my birthday. :)
